Detective trail Lüneburg: a salty mystery tour

The Lüneburg Detective Trail is open all year round.

The mystery experience for young and old. We have prepared a mystery tour in Lüneburg for you. The mystery tour starts in front of the railway station. Then follow the route descriptions and maps. You will pass several riddle posts along the way, where a riddle awaits you that you can solve by following the clues at this location. At the end of the trail, you have to open a treasure chest in the German Salt Museum in Lüneburg. The code to open the treasure chest is calculated from the solutions to the individual riddles. Find the treasure and crack the code.

In front of Lüneburg main station

If you are coming from the «German Salt Museum», you can also go directly to the first station. To do this, go down the street «Auf dem Harz» and then straight ahead into «Ritterstraße». Follow this road for about 1,000 metres until you come to the «Ilmenaubrücke», our first riddle post.

Further information
There is a section with lots of cobblestones between Rütsel 8 and 9. At island 12, steps have to be climbed. The trail is not suitable for pushchairs in these sections. We recommend sturdy footwear.
