Erlebnisraum am Flughafen Wien (Experience Space at Vienna Airport)

The Experience Space at Vienna Airport is an interactive multimedia space focused on aviation – exciting and educational for children and adults. Together with children's author Thomas Brezina, an exhibition covering more than 600 square meters full of hands-on stations and technology was created that sparks curiosity.

Four thematic areas invite visitors to explore and marvel:

• The virtual cockpit – an oversized cockpit that makes flights from a pilot's perspective tangible.

• The Tower replica – discover the airport from the perspective of air traffic controllers and understand how the airspace is controlled.

• The Path of the Suitcase – a multimedia installation that makes the luggage sorting process understandable.

• The 24-hour time-lapse installation – shows the airport as a city within the city that never sleeps.

Age recommendation: for children aged 2 to 6, 6 to 10, 10 to 12, and 12 years and up.
