The Heeresgeschichtliches Museum is one of the most child-friendly museums in Vienna and offers families a varied program full of discoveries 🎉.
With the large Kinderclub Eugen, special tours for kindergarten and school groups, exciting puzzle books, regular events and original birthday parties, there is something for children of every age 🧩.
In the exhibition rooms, age-appropriate stations tell stories from the Habsburg Monarchy up to 1945 – especially impressive is the Sarajevo-Halle with the car from 1914 and personal objects such as the tunic and the chaise longue 🚗.
The offerings cover several age groups: 2–6, 6–10, 10–12 and 12+ years – ideal for families with babies, toddlers, schoolchildren and teenagers.
Guided tours for kindergarten, school groups and adults can be booked; regular family events offer hands-on formats and changing themes. The new display of the collection area 1918–1956 is planned for spring 2026 and promises new insights 🔧.
