The Lainzer Tiergarten Information Center is the starting point for visitors who want to explore the Lainzer Tiergarten and the Wienerwald. 🌲
In the Wienerwald Biosphere Reserve permanent exhibition, realistic wildlife models are on display, and an interactive landscape model with LEDs and a 3D map shows gates, playgrounds, restaurants and other attractions – you can trace the route with the LEDs. 🗺️
The center is the starting point for the Hermesvillapark Nature Discovery Trail and for official guided tours: trained staff (MA 49) lead tours of about three hours; school classes 1–8 can book free guided tours from April to October, except during school holidays. 👩 🏫
For families, the proximity to the Lainzer Tor, the popular forest playground, a duck-filled pond, fenced deer enclosures and the nearby Hermesvilla (former Empress Sisi) are especially attractive — the visitor center also features a child-friendly café-restaurant, the Hermes Café Restaurant Labstelle. 🦌☕
Suitable for the following age groups: 0–2, 2–6, 6–10, 10–12, and 12+. 👶
