MAK – Austrian Museum of Applied Arts/Contemporary Art presents applied arts at the intersection of design, art, craft, architecture, and contemporary art. As a space for experiments, discussions and explorations, current social and ecological questions are addressed. 🎨
For families and children there is an extensive education program: The Mini MAK is aimed at children aged 4 and up and offers playful tours and workshops; MAK Design Kids are two-hour creative workshops for 8–12-year-olds (without an accompanying adult), in which design processes, techniques and digital media are explored. In addition there are creative workshops and the MAK school program for 6–18-year-olds. ✂️🧩
Current exhibitions include, among others: HELMUT LANG (10 December 2025 – 3 May 2026), WIEN 1900 – Alltag (25 February 2026 – 31 August 2030) as well as rotating presentations such as TURNING PAGES, HITO STEYERL and the new presentation of the MAK exhibition collection Textiles and Carpets. Exhibition dates vary – it is worth checking the program. 🖼️
