Setagayapark is a photogenic Japanese oasis in Vienna – ideal for family photos and peaceful strolls. In April, when cherry blossoms and azaleas bloom, the garden appears especially magical 🌸📷. A magnet for photographers and nature lovers.
The garden was designed in the early 1990s by the renowned landscape architect Ken Nakajima and showcases typical elements of Japanese gardens: ponds, streams, a pagoda, a Yukimi stone lantern, and a traditional teahouse (not a staffed café). At the entrance stands a stone monument with the inscription 'Furomon', symbolically marking the entrance to a small paradise.
Family note: Suitable for children of all ages—from 0–2 years, 2–6 years, 6–10 years, 10–12 years to 12+ years. Dogs and bicycles are not allowed; there is no café and no playground directly in the garden, but several playgrounds nearby 🌿🧒.
