Sigmund-Freud Park is a relaxed, spacious urban park in the Alsergrund district – a popular chill-out spot in the heart of Vienna. Especially in summer, the expansive lawns invite you to read, sunbathe, and picnic; there are even free sun loungers.
At the southern end is PaN-Europatisch – a monument with individual granite chairs for EU member states; and an EU tree circle also reminds of the EU’s enlargements. The grounds also offer a beautiful view of the Votive Church and invite photos and discoveries.
For families: there are no playgrounds or sports facilities in Sigmund-Freud Park itself, but there is a handy drinking-water fountain and short paths to the neighboring Votivpark, where a small, charming playground with a water play area awaits. Ideal for children aged 0–2, 2–6, 6–10, 10–12 and from 12 years old.
