Wiener Rathaus

Wiener Rathaus is a neo-Gothic architectural gem and one of Vienna's most important non-religious buildings – with one of the largest arcaded courtyards in Europe. 🎭

Free guided tours offer exciting insights into construction history and politics – particularly suitable for older children and adolescents. Guided tours for individuals take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1:00 PM; no registration is required. 🎧 Free audio guides in English, French, Italian and Spanish are available. 🎧

For families, special family events are particularly attractive, such as the popular "Spieltage am Wiener Rathaus" by WienXtra Spielebox during the school holidays 🎲.

Large events take place in front of the Town Hall year-round – especially family-friendly are the the Christmas market at the Town Hall during the Christmas season and the Wiener Eistraum in winter. When ice skating, the square becomes a large ice surface; for small children and beginners, skating in the children's area is free. ⛸️
